  • Name: epiandrosterone sulfate
  • Description: Epiandrosterone sulfate, also known as (3beta,5alpha)-17-oxoandrostan-3-yl hydrogen sulfate or epiandrosterone sulphuric acid, is a member of the class of compounds known as sulfated steroids. Sulf... ated steroids are sterol lipids containing a sulfate group attached to the steroid skeleton. Epiandrosterone sulfate is practically insoluble (in water) and an extremely strong acidic compound (based on its pKa). Epiandrosterone sulfate can be synthesized from 5alpha-androstane and synthesized into epiandrosterone. Epiandrosterone sulfate can be found in blood and feces. (HMDB0062657)
